The Ordination Ceremony at Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tochigi

Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication Department and assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya stated that on occasion of “Coronation Day”, Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tochigi collaborated with Dhammakaya International Meditation Center Tochigi to organize an ordination ceremony and a laywomen/laymen training program for the Japanese locals in order to spread the Buddha’s teachings sustainably for the public.

All attendees of these two programs share a strong interest in meditation practice and are eager to learn the higher level of dhamma. These programs will encourage all participants to practice in accordance with the Threefold Training : Morality, Concentration, and Wisdom. The activities are supported by Thai Buddhists and the Japanese residents and subsidized by the 2026 Fund for Overseas Buddhist Propagation.

Venerable Phrakhrupalad Sunet Charaphinyo, abbot of Dhammakaya International Meditation Center Tochigi and Venerable Phramaha Phongsak Thaniyo, Ph.D., abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tochigi have a commitment to work harder for Buddhism. Their plan to spread Buddhism among the Japanese youth includes lectures in educational institutions and dhamma training sessions for the public. The Buddha’s teachings remain a refuge for followers and bring about peace to communities.
