The Meditation Center of Chicago opens a meditation course for American students.

On 28 January 2026, The Meditation Center of Chicago welcomed junior high school students from Washburn Mid-School in Chicago to participate in the course of “Meditation and Thai culture” for the purpose of cultivating morality in youth for multicultural society and developing oneself according to the principles of Buddhism ; for example, the mindfulness training of Buddhist style, emotional control and the way to live with others peacefully in the society. A teacher expressed his opinion that the school opened opportunities for students to learn different religions and cultures in order that they can live with and respect others of different religions and cultures in multicultural society.

The Meditation Center of Chicago continuously propagates Buddhism by focusing on the role of morality promotion and meditation teaching for the locals in Chicago. Besides, it has also organized activities on important days of Buddhism like Magha Puja Day and Vesak Day and invited the locals to join and learn Buddhist culture.
