On 5 April 2025, Wat Phra Dhammakaya organized the mass ordination for Buddhism revival throughout Thailand in 2025 under the concept of “Dhamma Training during School Break”. 8,000 candidates are qualified for this ordination program. The training lasts 30 days during 1-30 April 2025 at Morality Promotion Center throughout Thailand.
At the ordination center of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Venerable Phrakhrupalad Rattanaveerawat, abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, was the preceptor for 400 ordinands. In the early morning, parents and relatives of ordinands joined the circumambulation of Maha Dhammakaya Cetiya, followed by the ceremonies of asking for forgiveness from parents and novice robe offering. This ordination program under the concept “Dhamma Training during School Break” has the main objectives to cultivate faith in Buddhism, respect to the Triple Gem and love of meditation practice.
This ordination program for Buddhism revival across Thailand in 2025 is organized during 1-30 April 2025 by Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation with the collaboration of International Buddhist Club, Morality Promotion Center across Thailand, WAB (World Alliance of Buddhists), V-PEACE, educational institutions of local administration organizations, the network of government and private sectors and devotees of Wat Phra Dhammakaya throughout the world.
