On 31st January 2019, the Dhammayatra events of the 7 sacred places with the inherit of the Dhammakaya meditation reaches its final location with the event on light up lanterns offering Lord Buddha at the Dhammakaya Cetiya of the Wat Phra Dhammakaya. Pray for the brightness of Lord Buddha, which through lanterns by lanterns, and reaches every dark corners of the world. With the merits gained during the event dedicate towards all beings of the realm, wish them could attain enlightenment earlier. And also wishes all human beings with well beings on physical and mentally, successful in their career, everything goes well and accordingly, gains in both wisdom and fortunate.
The 7th Dhammayatra with 1135 monks on the journey to the 7 memorials of the Grand master Phramongkolthepmuni. Is to propagate the teachings of Lord Buddha toward the public and society. We welcome everyone to join us :
1.Four large alms offering ceremonies, for extending the life span of Buddhism ;
- Seven events on sprinkling flower petals to welcome the 1135 Dhammayatra monks, which is consider the most noble way to show respect to the triple Gem ;
- Three offering food ceremonies to Sangha from 102 temples, for support the Buddhism;
- Six large scale lantern lighting ceremonies, as the way to pay respect to the Lord Buddhas, the grand masters, and recollection the immerse grace of the triple gem.
- Supporting organize the other 50 over local temples Katina ceremony, for the maintance of those temples.
- Sincerely invite the local public to join the Dhammayatra monks by chanting the Dhammacakkappavaddana Sutta, the morning and night chanting, meditate, spreading loving kindness and in order to extend the life span of Buddhism together.
- When the local public and the Dhammayatra monks together, clean up their 50 over local temples.
- Provide the local schools top students with scholarships.
- Sincerely invite the local public to participate in the activities of “Love to ordain as a monk, keeping 5 precepts”.
Lanterns represent the brightness and wisdom of Dhamma, light of the lanterns include the meaning of warm and hope, the brightness of the lanterns also represent all human beings process the light of wisdom in their mind. Therefore, Buddhism emphasis a lot in the ceremony on lighting lanterns offering to the Lord Buddha, that is with the help of the lanterns of wisdom from the Buddha bodhisattva. To ignite the light of our mind. Where ever there are light, the light of the loving kindness from the Buddha bodhisattva will shine. Wishing everyone could be a bright lantern to drive away the darkness of this world, and brighten up the entire universe.
All people regardless of ages and sexes, with mind of faithfulness and stillness, and putting their palm together devoutly, for chanting.
In front of, the Dhammakaya Cetiya with millions Load Buddha, everyday there are endless sound of chanting, which surround above the Cetiya. That sense of peacefulness would easily calm our mind down.
Light up the candle in our hand, also lighten up that lantern in our mind.
In the mind of the youth, the seed of goodness have taken root. Because their parents is the best role model for their children.
Let these candle light blazing every corners of the world, and wish the light of these lanterns shine the world with its brightness and wisdom. Every single lantern is the beginning of the origin of goodness.
Let our mind settle in our inner source of merits, that could brighten up our life with auspicious, and the world will be in peace with happiness. At the same time, it will sow the seeds of on attain “the Eye” (dharma-caksus) for ourselves and all beings in the future.
The passing on of the lanterns will bring along the wisdom and benevolence of Lord Buddha into the mind of the participants, yet it also bring along endless warmth, hopes, peacefulness and safeness.
Lanterns are the symbol of brightness and wisdom, and also belong to one of ten ways of offering. Offering Light to Lord Buddha，with the virtue of wisdom of light from Lord Buddha, to light up the lantern of one’s own nature, from then accumulate of our happiness and wisdoms, toward the success on the path to liberation from suffering.
In the temple, millions of lanterns brighten up the night sky line and the entire square, the view was very solemnity.
