The declaration of Thai Dhammaduta monks for Buddhism propagation in Africa

Most Venerable Phraratwachirasatsanavithes, president of the Union of Thai Sanghas in Europe (UTSE) and abbot of Wat Thai Norway, presided over the seminar “The sustainable propagation of Buddhism for the locals” at Cape Town Meditation Centre, South Africa. The seminar was attended by Dhammaduta monks from over 10 countries and all monastic attendees jointly chanted as the blessing for Thai King.

Most Venerable Phraratwachirasatsanavithes gave a speech to Dhammaduta monks that besides the tasks under responsibilities in their region, they should collaborate with other Dhammaduta monks throughout the world by sharing the same target of worldwide Buddhism propagation and share responsibilities and creative thinking on the job for the benefit of Buddhism propagation.

Most Venerable Phraratwachirasatsanavithes related that the meeting had consensus to drive the Buddhism propagation in Africa as follows;

  1. Promote the visit of Dhammaduta monks from other regions to Africa for the exchange of Buddhism propagation experience in order to boost the morale of Dhammaduta monks in Africa and promote the unity of Dhammaduta monks worldwide.
  2. Collaborate by working as the network for the sustainable propagation of Buddhism.
  3. Sacrifice by spending time in joining activities of other Dhammaduta monks in Africa to tighten relationship and support Buddhism propagation activities of other colleagues in Africa.
