On 12 August 2024, Venerable Prakrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of the Communication Department-Wat Phra Dhammakaya, related that District Office of Klong Luang, together with the monastic community of Klong Luang, Dhammakaya Foundation, Wat Phra Dhammakaya and its disciples arranged the celebration activity on occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother’s birthday anniversary, at the Elephant Hall of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Pathum Thani.
The morning events were the alms offering and the ceremony of monks’ blessing, presided by Most Venerable Phrakruvijit Arphakorn-the Ecclesiastical Chief of Klong Luang district as the monastic chairman and Ms. Apisara Ket-In, District Chief of Klong Luang as the laypeople chairman.
In the evening, Ms. Apisara Ket-In presided over the ceremony of flower tray offering and candle lighting in front of the Queen Mother’s portrait. This event was participated by the officials from various government sectors including Klong Luang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, students of Pathum Thani’s educational institutions, representatives from private sectors, laypeople of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and local residents.
