On 5 December 2024, Most Venerable Phrkruvijit Ar-Pha-Korn, Ecclesiastical Chief of Khlong Luang district and abbot of Wat Sawangphop was monastic chairman and Ms. Apisra Ket-In, district chief of Khlong Luang was laypeople chairman for the blessing ceremony and almsgiving in honor of King Rama IX on his birthday and National Father Day at Plook Sattha 2 Building, Wat Phra Dhammakaya.
In this event, Venerable Phrakhupaladrattanaveerawat, abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, welcomed the monks, joining the blessing ceremony. The government officials, representatives from private sectors and residents of Khlong Luang district jointly offered alms to 19 monks to dedicate its merit to King Rama IX in remembrance of his beneficial contribution during his 70 year reign.
