The 8th Annaul V-Star Day

On Saturday December 14th, 2013 Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Pathum Thani province will be holding the 8thAnnual V-Star Change the World Day.The International Buddhist Society and 12 Associate Organizations on Saturday December 14th, 2013 Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Pathum Thani province are cooperating to arrange the V-Star Change the World Day, to gather V-Star children from all over the country to participate in educational Buddhist activities together.The activities on that day will be evaluated by the moral standard, both theory and practice. The children will practice varied activities honoring the Lord Buddha together. The schools and the children who qualify with high markings and moral standard will receive the Honorable Certificates and the V-Star Honorable Brooch. These awards are to encourage them to learn to become a better person do more good deeds.
This is an integration project for cultivating morality by the Lord Buddha’s teachings thoroughly. This project is the cooperation of houses, temples and schools and has been supported by the Ministry of Education. Its operation has also been supported by the Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni. The venerable has given the World Morality Restoration Scholarship and the Buddhism Learning Media to all educational institutes which participate in this project as “the World Morality Restoration School.” It is pleasant that there are over 5,000 schools participating in this project now and all V-Star children intend to train themselves following the Buddhist ways. The main daily life lessons are about discipline, respect, and patience which the children do it from getting up till going to bed. They also do the social creative activities; develop houses, temples and schools; and set up the V-Star Clubs. They have studied about the Triple Gems by modern and interesting media for 3 months. All of these activities have changed the students’ behaviors positively and obviously and have changed their families and communities across the country as well. The operational result of the previous arrangements was good and satisfied.
