On 10 July 2024, Venerable Phrakrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication Department, Wat Phra Dhammakaya related that on 7 July 2024, over 10,000 monks and laypeople of Wat Phra Dhammakaya practiced meditation at Dhammakaya Meditation Hall on occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th cycle birthday anniversary on 28 July 2024 so as to dedicate its merit to the king on this auspicious occasion. He added that the temple and its branches had previously organized 4 times of meditation practice for the merit dedication to the king as identified in the following timeline:
31 January 2024 – At Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Pathum Thani
17 February 2024 – At the Southern Meditation Center, Songkhla province
28 May 2024 – At Nakhon Ratchasima Meditation Center, Nokhon Ratchasima province
22 June 2024 – At Wat Phra Dhammakaya, London, England
Besides, the temple, together with Klong Luang District Office, will hold the blessing ceremony and meditation practice on 28 July 2024, which is the king’s birthday. This event will be attended by the monastic community in Klong Luang district, government officials, entrepreneurs of private sectors and local residents.
