Dhammakaya International Organization and BMI organization received an invitation from Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Gathaya Cahyayuda PT, and many media companies to host the Light of Peace activity for the 2017 BorobudurNite event.
The activity hosted on 31st December 2017 got publicized through the help of many media companies with the attempt to promote peace as well as Borobudur’s tourism. At 11:30 PM, a full house of 2000 people with different religious beliefs such as Islam, Christian, Catholic, Hindu, and Buddhism gathered to be a part of this memorable night. The representatives from each religion lit the main lantern lights together to mark their contribution to world peace and unity. A moment later the atmosphere of the peaceful night was surrounded by the many religious belief’s praying sounds.
Then, everyone received a moment of inner peace by meditating with PhraVitedbhavanajarn, Dhammakaya International Organization representative. When the time arrived, BorobudurNite was full of thousand candle lights lid by the people who wished for world peace.
Finally, when the time reached midnight, thousands of lanterns flew up towards the sky to celebrate the new year and to mark everyone’s wish for love, peace, faith, and hope for 2018.
