“The light of Vesak Lanterns for World Peace was shining bright in the heart of Azusa people”
Dhammakaya International Meditation Center (D.I.M.C.), USA, arranged the International Vesak Day 2017 on May 10, 2017.
Over 500 Thai, Chinese, Sri Lankan, Laos, Burmese, Vietnamese and local monks and laypeople from 7 countries participated in this event to light Vesak Lanterns for World Peace and offered alms to monks from all sects.
Moreover, all participants together chanted Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta, spread loving-kindness, and meditated to purify their action, speech and mind. The highlight of this event was the Ceremony of Lighting Dhammacakka Lanterns which is the symbol of propagating Dhammakaya Vijja and creating inner peace to the world.
