A group of students from Halstead Preparatory School went to Wat Phra Dhammakaya London to meditate and study Buddhism on Wednesday 13th February 2019.
On this occasion, Wat Phra Dhammakaya London gave a warm welcome and taught basic Buddhism to the students by using Buddhist activity-based learning. There were activities for Buddhist history and the Buddha’s biography, Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Vijja Dissemination, UG5, and Meditation. The teaching monk taught them how to meditate by placing their mind gently at the 7th Base of body, visualizing crystal ball and repeating Mantra “Samma Arahang” at the same time. Then, they all meditated together.
After meditation, the children watched the Buddhist Exhibition described by Ms. Khruawan Sukcharoen. She explained and suggested the Buddhist practical principle about giving and keeping precepts.
Finally, they listened to the summary and wrote what they gained that day.
