On 11 October 2024, Most Venerable Phrakruvijit Ar-Pha-Korn, Ecclesiastical Chief of Khlong Luang district and abbot of Wat Sawangphop, presided over the opening ceremony of Dhamma studies-elementary level examination at Kaew-Sa-Ra-Phad-Neuk 2 Meeting Room, Dhammakaya Meditation Hall, Wat Phra Dhammakaya. He led all examinees to pay homage to the Triple Gem and read the speech of Royal Dhamma Studies Office. Then he delivered remarks to 417 examinees. This examination was arranged across the country from 11-14 October 2024.
In this event, Most Venerable Phradhamrattanaporn, the Advisor for Ecclesiastical Chief of Region 1 and abbot of Wat Khian Khet (a royal temple), together with Most Venerable Phraratsutthidhammajarn, Provincial Ecclesiastical Chief of Pathum Thani and abbot of Wat Prayoondhammaram and Mr.Pransuwee Aow-Aramrat, director of Pathum Thani Provincial Office of Buddhism, visited the examination area to give positive encouragement to all examinees.
Venerable Phrakrupaladrattanaveerawat, abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, acting as vice chairman of Examination Area Administration, assigned the Dhamma Studies Department of Dhamma Studies Institute – Wat Phra Dhammakaya to facilitate this examination arrangement of the Examination Administration Committee according to the regulation and announcement of Royal Dhamma Studies Office.
The Dhamma studies was first organized according to the intention of His Holiness Somdet Phramahasamanachao Kromphraya Vajirañāṇavarorasa – the tenth Supreme Patriarch of Thailand. At that time, Dhamma studies related to monastic discipline in Thai version in order that the community of monks and novices could study monastic discipline with ease and thoroughly for the virtuous application and the wider propagation of Buddhism. The curriculums and contents of Dhamma studies have been continuously adjusted to fit the group of monks and novices with less than 5 ordination years to maintain their monastic status comfortably.
