Monks prayed the Buddha’s Chanting – Dhammaniyāma
The Pubbapeta Bali Ceremony was arranged at the Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong’s Refectory in Dhammakaya Temple on April 25th, 2013 since the big holy day. Monks prayed the Buddha’s chanting – Dhammaniyāma and then, they performed the ceremony of offering funeral robes and dedicated merit to their dead relatives.
Donors and laypeople offered meal together
After that, there was the ceremony of offering food fund and Dr. Supachai Srisupaaksorn led the others to say the offering speech. Kal. Suchadee Maneewong was the representative and led the congregation to say the speech of offering lunch as Sangha Dana. Finally, donors and the others offered meal and alms to monks together.
The ceremony of offering funeral robes and dedicating merit to dead relatives
The Pubbapeta Bali Ceremony is held every big holy day. Dhammakaya Temple wants Buddhists to recall their good deeds by giving, observing the five precepts, and mediating more. They will have another chance to keep their action, speech and mind clear, bright, and pure. For the Buddhists, it is the chance to do good deeds, don’t do bad deeds and make their mind bright obviously such as keeping the 8 precepts. A lot of people joined these ceremonies.
