
On 19 October 2025, Deputy Consul-General Pakprapai Kambanlue, along with Consul Veenus Assavaphoom, presided over Kathina ceremony of Wat Phra Dhammakaya-Osaka in Japan. This event was attended by Ms. Waris Charoenkal, mayor of Nong Suea Subdistrict Municipality and Ms. Sophita Charoenkal, deputy mayor of Nong Suea Subdistrict Municipality, the major host of Kathina robe offering and over 100 Buddhists from Thailand, U.S.A. and Japan.
The objective of this Kathina ceremony is to renovate Khun Yai Ajarn Dining Hall of Wat Phra Dhammakaya-Osaka. Wat Phra Dhammakaya-Osaka is the first Thai temple in Osaka and has been the center of Buddhism propagation and meditation practice for Buddhists in Kansai region for over 25 years. At present, Venerable Phrakhruvithesyanphisut is the abbot.
