On November 29, 2017, the teaching monk from the Dhammakaya Meditation Center of the Netherlands taught a meditation class at a local elementary school in Basisschool de Dromedaris. The teaching monk told the story of the main events in the Lord Buddha’s life to the class: birth, enlightenment, and death.
Then, students meditated together. Afterwards, the teaching monk gave a sermon about “Focusing on others’ positive traits” and asked students to think about their parents’ acts of benevolence and to write them down on a piece of paper.
Students had the opportunity to learn about some interesting Buddhism concepts, which were discussed the next day.
