On September 29, 2016, Chattahoochee High School, Atlanta, Georgia invited Ven. Dr. Nicholas Thanissaro to give a lecture “Buddhist Beliefs and Practices Affecting Health Care” and led meditation at the invitation of Dr. Jenny Lucy – instructor in health sciences. He taught 2 classes with 68 students in total. The principal of Chattahoochee High School, Tim Corrigan, plans to invite him to train the teaching staff  for meditation in future occasion. The next invitation from a Georgia high school will be on October 4th, 2016 at Centenial High School in Roswell, Georgia where students are looking forward to seeing Ven.Nicholas again. It is a great sign that American teenagers feel the need for meditation to cope with stress in their studies.
