On Sunday, April 6, 2025, Wat Phra Dhammakaya Italy in Novara organized a meditation training session for the local community, a regular event held on the first Sunday of every month.

Venerable Maha Kittipong (Christian) gave a sermon on the importance of “friends.” He explained that friends play a significant role in our lives. When people face problems or feel worried, they often prefer to talk to close friends rather than family members like parents or siblings. Each person has a different number of friends, but true friends are rare. A true friend is someone who understands us and sincerely wishes us well—someone who dares to speak the truth, correct us when we’re wrong, and help us get back up when we fall. Because such friends are few, we should cherish and maintain these relationships, as good friends can help us live better lives.

The monk also explained the basic principles of meditation practice for the attendees and guided them through a meditation session. Afterwards, participants were invited to share their experiences during the practice. Many questions and answers were exchanged during the training to clarify the proper way to meditate. He encouraged everyone to continue practicing regularly in daily life—morning, midday, and evening—starting with just 5 minutes per session.

You are warmly invited to join the next session: Sunday, May 4, 2025.

In the beginning, it was quiet—no locals came during the first few months.
No one seemed interested. It felt uncertain, fragile… like it wouldn’t last. But now, a year and a half has passed. Familiar faces still return, and new ones continue to arrive.
With deep gratitude, I bow to Phra Ajahn Ittipong Panyawangso. He was the one who began this path. We are the ones who carry it forward. And we shall continue… until it is time.
Heartfelt thanks to my dearest spiritual friend, Chalisa (Tom), who has persistently encouraged me—
pushing, pulling, supporting, uplifting, and never letting go. To practice Dhamma in Luang Pu’s room,
one’s heart must be clear and pure. Devoted entirely to the benefit of others.
And the joy that arises from that… is beyond measure.
