The branches of Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Japan helped the flood victims by donating one million Yen.
Phra Maha Nopporn Punyajayo, Vice Director of the Communications Department of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Wat Phra Dhammakaya, revealed that July 20, 2018, the Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya Ibaraki Phra Maha Thammarat Dhammaratano and his team went to Tsukuba in Ibaraki Prefecture to give the donation for the flood victims in Japan.
On Thursday, July 12, 2018, the monks and laypeople of the all the branches of Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Japan led by Phrakhrupalad Sunet Chalabhinyo were the representatives of all branch temples of Wat Phra Dhammakaya around the world donating 1,000,000 Yen to the Japanese Red Cross in Tokyo to help the flood victims in the western areas of Japan.
The staff of the Red Cross revealed that the donation will be delivered to help the victims in the affected locations. It will go towards the expenses of food, drink, clothes and build new residence for the victims.
There are 10 branches of Wat Phra Dhammakaya are Tokyo, Osaka, Yamanashi, Saitama, Kanagawa, Ibaraki, Aichi, Gunma, Tochigi and Nagano Prefectures.
