Thai Buddhist Monk lectured on “ World Peace comes through Inner Peace” in honor of the 200th Anniversary of Disseminating Catholicism in South Africa The Abbot of Johannesburg Meditation Centre Phrakhrubhavanavidesh was invited by Bishop Victor Phalana, Chairperson of Inter–Religious Dialogue and Secular Culture, Department of Ecumenism, to introduce meditation and lecture on “World Peace comes through Inner Peace” at St. John Visnney Seminary, Pretoria, South Africa, in honor of the 200th Anniversary of Disseminating Catholicism in South Africa on January 29, 2018.
The attendants were Catholic priests, Christians, other religious leaders such as Islam, Hindu, , Bahai, Jewish and Buddhism. The lecture interested participants very much.
They were happy and peaceful to learn about creating peace through Buddhist methodologies.
It widened their views of the world to learn valuable teachings and many considered going to the Johannesburg Meditation Centre to try meditation as well.
