On Sunday afternoon, 8 October 2017, many friends and neighbors of the Dhammakaya International Meditation Center gathered peacefully in solace in light of the tragic event in Las Vegas by holding a candle light vigil and practicing loving kindness meditation in remembrance to those who lost their lives, and to show support to those injured and affected by the tragic event.
The Mayor of Azusa, Mr. Joseph Romero Rocha, and former mayor Cristina Cruz Madrid were also present to offer their support to the event and the city of Las Vegas.
