Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation hand out relief supply bags to the flood victims in Chai Nat

On 20 November 2025, at 71st Anniversary Kitchen Building, Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Venerable Phramaha Nopporn Punyachayo, assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, together with Venerable Theeraphat Kultheero, chairman of Internal Network Coordination and Venerable Phrakhrusamu Somchai Watsatheero, representative of Dhammakaya Foundation handed 500 relief supply bags to Venerable Phrakhrusamanadhammachai, ecclesiastical chief of Had Tha Sao subdistrict and abbot of Wat Baromthat Woraviharn in order to distribute them to the flood victims in Muang and Sapphaya districts of Chai Nat province.

As the result of increasing rate of water discharge from Chao Phraya Dam by the Office of National Water Resources, the river overflowed its banks and inundated the areas of Muang and Sapphaya districts, causing damage to 5,560 households with 15,950 residents in 24 subdistricts. Some areas, close to the dam of water discharge, faced the flooding of 30-centimeter to over 1-meter depth and many communities had been submerged for over 2 months.

Venerable Phrakhrusamanadhammachai related that 750 relief supply bags had previously handed out to the floods victims. Subsequently, the heavy rain and the increasing water discharge resulted in repeated flooding in the past several months this year.

The distribution of relief supply bags is a part of public assistance of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation by coordinating with government organizations and Ba-Vorn organization network (Home-Temple-School) to relive the hardship of flood victims in Chai Nat province.
