11 Pali students of Wat Phra Dhammakaya achieve the 9th Pali studies level.

From the announcement of Royal Dhamma Studies Office on Pali exam result in 2025, 11 Pali students of Wat Phra Dhammakaya achieve the 9th Pali studies level and one of them is Venerable Phramaha Apinai Tantivaddho or Dr. Apinai Jinpiphat, M.D. (his former name before ordination). He was born on 3 October 1981 and studied in primary and junior high school levels at Bangkok Christian College. Then he pursued his studies of senior high school level at Triam Udom Suksa School and was subsequently admitted as undergraduate student of Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University. During his undergraduate studies, he was a cheerleader of the Faculty of Medicine and joined the Buddhist Club of Chulalongkorn University. He also participated in the ordination program of Wat Phra Dhammakaya for undergraduate students and was ordained as a monk. When he left the monkhood, he was selected as chairman of Buddhist Club. After his graduation, he worked as medical doctor at Nongsue Hospital, Pathumthani Hospital and Princess Mother National Institute on Drug Abuse Treatment. After working as medical doctor for 3 years according to the condition of the government’s medical scholarship, he was ordained at the age of 28 at Wat Pathum Khongkha Worawihan and Most Venerable Phrapromsenabodi was his preceptor. Later, he moved to Wat Phra Dhammakaya for permanent stay.

At Wat Phra Dhammakaya, he first started working as supervisor for new monks and taught both principles and practices of Buddha’s teachings to laypeople. In 2016, he got a scholarship from National Chengchi University in Taiwan and resided at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Taipei during 2014-2020. While staying in Taiwan, he took part in many activities of Buddhist temples of Maha Nikaya denomination like Fo Guang Shan Monastery and Dharma Drum Mountain.
