On 12 January 2025, Pathum Thani Governor Somkid Jan-Tha-Ma-Ruek was the chairman for opening ceremony of the 7th event of “Children’s Day 2025” under the concept of “Flashback to Hunt Amazing Children” at Elephant Hall of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Pathum Thani province. The monastic community of Khlong Luang, Khlong Luang’s district office and the organization network of Bavorn (Home-Temple-School), together with Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Dhammakaya Foundation and their disciples throughout the world organized this event for the local children in Khlong Luang and nearby districts. Most Venerable Phradhamrattanaporn, the advisor for Ecclesiastical Head of Region 1 and abbot of Wat Khian Khet (a royal temple), together with Most Venerable Phrakruvijit Ar-Pha-Korn, Ecclesiastical Head of Khlong Luang district and Venerable Phrakrupaladrattanaveerawat, abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, was the monastic chaiman. This event was attended by many honorable guests like Ms.Nuannit Hongwiwat, senator and vice chairperson of Committee on Religions, Arts, and Culture, Ms. Apisra Ket-In, district chief of Khlong Luang, government officials, representatives from subdistrict administrative organization, community leaders and coordinators of Bavorn (Home-Temple-School) organization network.
Ms. Apisra Ket-In, district chief of Khlong Luang related that the event on Children’s Day was organized with the coordination of Bavorn (Home-Temple-School) organization network and government sectors for the purpose of encouraging children to realize their self-importance and self-development to be good in their own way both worldly and morally through the Buddhist principle learning from creative activities. These activities will definitely promote the relationship between children and monastic communities.
“Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Dhammakaya Foundation and disciples of Wat Phra Dhammakaya throughout the world coordinate with Bavorn organization network to arrange an event on Children’s Day 2025, which is attended by over 10,000 children and parents. There are many activities and free gifts for children, for example the play of “Flashback to Hunt Amazing Children” title with 3 dimension scenes and its content of Buddha’s biography in order to inspire children to follow self-development guideline of the Lord Buddha, the 3 dimension movies on the Buddha’s teachings, creative game play with over 10,000 gifts, free haircut, waste separation learning booth and over 200 booths of food, beverage and desserts”, said Mr.Ong-Ard Not Dhammanitra, spokeperson of Wat Phra Dhammakaya’s disciples.
Previously, on 8 January 2025, Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Dhammakaya Foundation and disciples of Wat Phra Dhammakaya throughout the world also offered gifts for children to support the organization of Children’s day 2025 events for over 200 local schools, local government sectors and Bavorn (Home-Temple-School) organization network as the public assistance.
