On May 17, 2567 B.E. (2024), Venerable Mununuwela Anuruddha Thero, Secretary-General of the National Buddhist Committee of Sri Lanka, led a group of over 100 novice monks from the Matale district and monks from Dhammakaya Temple in a ceremony to inaugurate the Siam-Sri Lanka Dhammayatra project celebrating the National Vesak Festival in Sri Lanka.
The event took place at the Grand Pagoda Circle Clock Tower in the heart of Dambulla city, with the participation of government officials, military personnel, and police warmly attending the ceremony.
