World Peace Ethics Club initiated the First Annual World Peace Ethics Contest (World-PEC) for Young People in 2008 in collaboration with Dhammakaya Foundation. We support Thai and international students in Thailand to learn the basic ethics and moralities by studying the ethics book in English called ‘Values Education for Peace’ and the Chinese Scripture called ‘Ji Xiang Jing’(Pali English-Mangala Sutta). The participant students are required to record their good deeds daily in the Diary of Inner Peace.
World-PEC has been an uplifting success to expand the inner peace for young people starting in Thailand to many other groups in many countries. With the goal of developing young people through the ethics contest, it has been supported and sponsored by numerous organizations for the translations of the book, Values Education for Peace, and the Diary of the Inner Peace. The translations and the ethics contests include Bengali in Bangladesh, Burmese in Myanmar, Nepali for Nepal and English in India.
Today success of World Peace Ethics Contest is the result of the kindly supports from all the venerable teaching monks, school and university directors and principals, teachers, parents, and all of the students. The World-PEC committees are very appreciative and value all your kind supports for helping and encouraging our young people to grow up to become good and smart for the country in order to create world peace from the inner peace.
