Ten monks, female monks, lay devotees and students from Dongguk University, South Korea, traveled to join Thai-Korean Buddhist Culture Exchange Program at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Pathum Thani province during December 30, 2016 – January 14, 2017, 16 total days.
They all learned how to meditate by using Dhammakaya technique and they had good meditation experiences. Some saw bright spheres or Buddha images, some felt like their bodies were floating in the air and the rest were happy and peaceful from meditation. In addition, the Most Ven. Phrarajpavanajarn, Vice Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, gave a sermon on the topic of “Life in the cycle of reincarnation”, which impressed them very much.
In the program, they studied and learned about the difference between Mahayana sect and Theravada sect of Buddhism. All of them said unanimously that the monks, novices as well as laypeople at Wat Phra Dhammakaya were very lucky to meet the Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni and Phrarajpavanajarn, and the meditation according to Phramongkolthepmuni’s way was simple and effective. They also revealed that when they go back home, they were willing to tell people about their good experiences of Wat Phra Dhammakaya.
