Wat Phra Dhammakaya Gunma, Japan, arranged the Weekend Meditation for Locals during December 23 – 25, 2016 (3 days and 2 nights). There were 8 meditation sessions and there were 11 Japanese participants.
The teaching monks who introduced how to meditate were Phrakhrupalad Sunet Chalapinyo and Phra Maha Chattapong Katapunyo. All of them joined activities which included Morning Chanting, exercising, offering the morning meals to the monks, enjoying Thai food together, meditating, listening to dharma and chanting the Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta.
Each participant had good meditation experiences. They were calm, able to still their minds and got the happiness of meditation. All of them understand the principle of meditation even more and will meditate continuously. They also intend to join the meditation at Thai Buddhist Meditation Center in Japan further.
