On May 21st, 2016, the Dhammapoya Meditation Group invited the teaching monk from Wat Bhavana Yangju, South Korea, to lead them in a meditation session using the Dhammakaya technique. This group of people attended the ceremonies on April 22nd, 2016 in Thailand where they got to meet Most Ven. Phrarajbhavanacharn (Dattajivo Bhikkhu) and listen dharma. They were very impressed so when they came back to their country, they intended to meditate using the Dhammakaya technique some more. Therefore, this group invited the teaching monk to lead them to meditate at a resort where it is conducive and suitable for meditation as the resort is a quiet place located on a hill in Yangsan.
Before meditation, the teaching monk taught the basic way to meditate and explained about how being comfortable plays important role in meditation. The laypeople asked what the heart of meditation was. The teaching monk answered by saying that the simple principle of meditation is to “Be conscious”, “Meditate comfortably”, and “Meditate constantly.” After that, all participants meditated together in two sessions, where each session took about 50 minutes. After meditation, they got to share their meditation experiences with each other. Overall, they felt happy and peaceful. This peacefulness was unexplainable. Amazingly, one of them was able to still his mind through the teaching monk’s voice so that he saw the Buddha omens clearly. He looked very happy and this affirms that people from any country, religion, or race can reach the real inner peace when they meditate.
