Dhammakaya Foundation led by Phrathepyanmahamuni – Luang Por Dhammajayo, cooperated with Miajao Sayador Temple, Mandalay, Myanmar; World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY) and Buddhist Friendship Club, to give aid packages to flood victims in the Sky areas of Myanmar. More than 1,000 aid relief bags including rice and drinking water were distributed.
Representatives of the Foundation and committees of the Alms Offering Program to 100,000 monks in Mandalay including Miajao Sayador; monks from Wat Phra Dhammakaya; Ou-Jor-Vae Chairman of Religion of Mandalay; MD. Pornchai Pinyapong – President of World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY), had visited the crisis area on August 6th and gave 400 flood relief bags. Moreover, on August 7th , they gave 600 relief bags to the Mandalay Prime Minister, Cabinet and commissioners to be further distribute to other victims. This was held in the main conference room at Mandalay Prime Minister’s Office.
