Mr. Phanom Sornsin, Deputy Director General of Office of National Buddhism, gave a special lecture to forward the religious education that this meeting was arranged to give knowledge for General Buddhist Scripture teachers, make Buddhism thrive by the monks who were expert in the General Buddhist Scripture, and to move Thailand forward as the world-class learning center. He unveiled four strategies as follows:
1. Create and develop the trainees to be the good quality ones
2. Develop the school administration to be stronger and standard for being the good quality school sustainably
3. Enhance the potential of Thailand to be the Center of General Buddhist Scripture of the World
4. Maintain and spread Buddhism thrive
The organization got 1,318,693,000 Baht as its 2013 budget. They would support the students of the General Buddhist Scripture School for the expenses of general things, meals, saffron robes, personal things, books, students’ activities, stationery, teacher’s salary. The subsidy per student per year can be classified as follows:
• For grade 7 – 9 students, the subsidy is 30,317 Baht
• For grade 10 – 12 students, the subsidy is 31,093 Baht
Moreover, the organization got more budgets in 2013 as follows:
• For grade 1 students, they would get a tablet each
• For teachers, the school would get a tablet per 5 teachers
• The school would get the transportation subsidy, 50 Baht average per student
