6th Thai–Japanese Buddhist Cultural Exchange, Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tokyo

Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tokyo arranged the 6th Thai–Japanese Buddhist Cultural Exchange on Sunday July 8, 2018.

As Thai Buddhist Lent Day falls during this month, the activities were organized in accordance with Thai Buddhist Lent Day.

The Morning Alms Round was held in the late morning.

After that, Thai and Japanese laypeople offered meals to the monks and had Thai food together.

In the afternoon, all participants listened to  dharma from Phrakhrupalad Sunet Chalabhinyo and meditated following the teaching monk’s voice in Japanese. Then, they attended the special activity of the month which is the activity of decorating and offering the Buddhist Lent Candle.

Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tokyo arranges the cultural exchange on the second Sunday of every month.  This time, there were 19 Japanese participates.  All of them were interested in Thai culture, listened to dharma and practiced meditation.
