Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation offer to Somdet Phraputthajarn the monks’ necessities worth 100,000 baht

On 25 September 2024, Most Venerable Somdet Phraputthajarn, a board member of the Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand, Ecclesiastical Chief of East Region and abbot of Wat Traimitr Withayaram Worawihan, receivedthe monks’ necessities worth 100,000 baht from Venerable Phrakhrupaladrattanaveerawat, abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and representatives of Wat Phra Dhammakaya’s monastic community and devotees in order to support the flooded temples in the east of Thailand. Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation already distributed over 5,000 relief supply bags to the flood victims in the northeastern provinces.

In this meeting, Ms.Apisra Ket-In, the district chief of Khlong Luang, also offered to Most Venerable Somdet Phraputthajarn rice and dry food, obtained from the almsgiving to 121 monks on occasion of 120th anniversary of Khlong Luang district so as to support the packing of relief supply bags for the flood victims.

“Unlike the previous years, the natural disasters occurred suddenly and more severely this year. However, the public assistance of monastic communities and Thai people should be admired and appreciated because generosity might be rare in all ages.”, said Most Venerable Somdet Phraputthajarn.
