The 10th Dhammayatra Project (online) of Wat Phra Dhammakaya

It is the start of the 10th Dhammayatra Project (online) under the concept “Rak Bavorn, Rak Sil 5” and 2 million trees and flowers are planted to enhance green environment along the way of Dhammayatra procession.

On 2 January, 2022, at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Pathum Thani, the monks of the 10th  Dhammayatra Project (online) under the theme “Rak Bavorn, Rak Sil 5” in homage to the Lord Buddha and the Great Master started the first day with Dhammayatra procession moving from Dhammakaya Meditation Hall to Memorial Hall of Phramongkolthepmuni (Sodh Candasaro) at the total distance of 5.15 kilometers.

“Dhammayatra activities are Buddhist tradition, held as a practice of meditation routines in all activities of Dhammayatra monks; walking, patience training, religious austerity and propagation of Buddhism by inviting all lay people around the world to welcome Dhammayatra monks by saying ‘sadhu’ and spreading flower petals from home along the way of Dhammayatra procession like in the times that the Lord Buddha was still alive. This is the way to pay respect to the Triple Gem according to the principles of 7 reverence types. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic throughout  the world,  it is not an obstacle for doing a good deed by joining the Dhammayatra Project online via Zoom application” said Ven. The 10th Dhammayatra Project under the theme “Rak Bavorn, Rak Sil 5”  in homage to the Lord Buddha and the Great Master (the Mara Vanquisher) was organized online via Zoom application during 2-31 January, 2022 by devotees of Dhammakaya temple throughout the world, the World Buddhist Organization, Wat Phra Dhammakaya. “Along the Dhammayatra route, 2,200,000 trees and flowers are planted in homage to the Triple Gem, including Petunia, Oxalis, Pampas Plume Celosia, Impatiens, Marguerite and Paper flower to welcome Dhammayatra monks. Additionally, this will create more green environment and increase oxygen around the temple in order to adjust the landscape and promote environment to be suitable for meditation practice.
