“One Day Meditation Retreat”// October 15, 2016— Meditation Center of Chicago (M.C.C.)

Meditation Center of Chicago (M.C.C.) arranged a “One Day Meditation Retreat” for locals on Saturday October 15, 2016.  There were 40 participants and Phra Dr. Nicholas Thanissaro was the teaching monk.  He introduced the principle and method of Vijja Dhammakaya meditation technique.  The teaching monk taught that dharma which support meditation was the Noble Eightfold Path and then they meditated together.  After lunchtime, all participants cleaned and tidied the place which was an activity which support dharma named “Mindfulness Chore.”  Then, the teaching monk introduced them to have Walking Meditation outdoor.



In the afternoon, they meditated together again and the teaching monk let them exchange their inner experience and ask questions.  Even though some participants had never meditated before or had meditated with other techniques, they still got peacefulness from meditation and had good experience.
